I'm taking a look at the 0z GFS as it's rolling out, and the track of the storm for January 12/13/14 has jumped significantly to the north of the 12z and 18z GFS from 1/3. I'm wary of jumping on board this northward shift, as none of the other models presently support such a change, and the intensity of the polar vortex to the north makes a northerly track impossible.
